Snow Day!

Today was a perfect kind of day.

I woke up to our Instant Alert system-advising me that our school is closed to inclement weather. Woo hoo! Snow day! No work for me! I laid around the house and took occasional naps. It was wonderful.

Here is a picture of my antique angel. I inherited from my Grandma. She is old but I love her. (the angel that is...)

Went to the beach...in October!

Yesterday we were on our way to visit Mike's Dad and look for baby pictures of Mike....and we stopped at the beach.

Who knew on October 12th it would 76 degrees?!! It was beautiful! We walked around and just soaked up the last 'hot' day of the year.

It looks like fall....yet it felt like spring.

As beautiful (and warm) as it was. I can't wait for Fall weather. I love wearing sweaters and curling up on the couch with a soft blanket. And look at those colors. I love when the leaves turn colors...it is the most beautiful thing in the world.


This is an elderly couple, just sitting and chatting on the beach. I had to capture this moment. In a weird way it reminded me of Mike and I. I hope we are still riding our bikes at that age....and doing things as a couple. They were so soaked up in each other..they didn't even notice we were there. It was the cutest thing!

Spring is finally here!

I'm happy to say Spring is finally here! We had a straight week of beautiful weather! Last week it was 60-70 degrees everyday! It has been a great week full of bike rides and fresh air circulating the house. We had some rain...but it helped my flowers bloom! I have tulips and an assortment of other flowers surrounding my house. This weekend and next week the forecast says lots of rain and temperatures below 60..but thats Ok... all of our flowers must get hydrated! More of my flower pix soon to come!

It's blizzard outside!!!

So, its March 21st, Good Friday. And there is a winter storm warning in effect until 1am tomorrow. I have never remembered it to snow on Good Friday. Granted, its always been a little cold....but this is ridiculous!



When will this madness end!?!?! I am really looking forward to SPRING weather! You know sunny days..butterflies...birds chippering..(get where I'm going with this). This winter has lasted so long, I don't even remember what it feels like!

I want to start riding my bike...and loosing some weight!!! I think I'm going to start tanning..maybe that will make me feel better............
