Stressed out!

This is how I feel.

I thought I was ok...

But nope. I'm not. This weekend our guest list and our seating chart has stressed me out!

We are 50 people short. We signed a contract for 225 people-whether they come or not-that is how many plates we are paying for. I think I may have over guesstimated our +1 guests. Grrr! This makes me so mad because there were so many more people I wanted to invite but my Dad said no. Now he is telling me to get more invitations out-STAT! I am doing that now...but I just feel horrible. I don't want these people thinking they weren't wanted. Because they were! I just screwed up! Can't exactly put that on the invitation though....

Also, the seating chart is so HARD! We have a lot of people already-and everyone has their own immediate families. But they all don't fit at a table. We have had to split a lot of people up. It's just been a frustrating task....especially when you have 3 people telling you what to do-and what not to do...and when you have certain guests requesting to be seated with a specific person. I knew this would be hard-but I didn't think it would be THIS hard! I'm hoping to finish this up after Easter...and then give our caterer our final head count.

One more thing...our hotel manager isn't answering our calls. This infuriates me! Let me give you a little background story. The hotel we are using is brand new-and conveniently next door to our reception venue. However, it doesn't open to the public until April 24th. But we signed a contract stating it would be available to reserve starting April 1. Now our guests are calling me and our parents to complain they cannot reach anyone at the hotel-and neither can I! I still need to book our wedding night reservation-and me and the girls are staying there the night before. I am hoping she returns my phone call as soon as possible....it's so frustrating!!

This is also why I haven't blogged in a while-I am so sorry!! But it's been a hectic week!

It's okay Jenny! Don't let it stress you out - because in the end, it doesn't matter who's sitting with you it's about you and your future husband! No need to stress :-)

Ya, I know...but it still all has to get done. And you didn't listen when I told you not to stress! Ha!

Oh that sucks. About everything. About your dad not letting you invite friends. About being short by 50 people. That's a LOT of money to pay to not get a meal. And not being able to get into the hotel.

There's not much you can do the seats and invitations now. But maybe you should look into a "back-up" hotel? Is there another hotel nearby with decent rates? That might make life easier.

I'm confused why you signed a contract with the hotel. Are you paying for guests' rooms? Or is that how you guaranteed the rate? We just phoned and set aside a block of rooms over the phone, but that might not be the way it's done everywhere.

Thanks Krista.. We do have a back-up, it's the same hotel but about 3 miles away. Our hotel promised that if they do not open the hotel by May 2 they will take care of moving all the guests to that location-except there is no shuttle service. Bummer. And yes, the contract just guaranteed our rates and blocked out a number of rooms.

I'm hoping we get more people to our list. I know I shouldn't stress out about this stuff-but I don't really have a choice. My Dad is footing the bill and I really don't want him to waste money. And the hotel thing just is plain irritating. I'm going to give her another week-and then I'm going to probably explode. Ha!

Yeah, it sucks ... but I'm glad your hotel at least has a back-up!

good afternoon friends. I'm actually into shoes and I was searching for that particular model. The prices due to the fact that the boots are approximately 340 dollars on every site. But for all I found this location selling them for the benefit of half price. I absolutely like those prada sneakers. I will probably order these. what can you say about it?

Admit it or not, but stress is one of the things that we hate a lot and stress does not bring any good into our body. Before I thought that stress is incurable until I found out that through proper meditation and Thetahealing. It can really make a difference in releasing your stress. I've tried Thetahealing a lot of times especially during my stressful moments and indeed, Thetahealing works a lot for me. And I feel a lot better this time.
