T minus 5 weeks

I can't believe we only have 5 weeks until the wedding.

And only 36 more days.

That's crazzzzyyy.

I'm definitely getting antsy. And I've most definitely had some minor freak outs. But all in all-we have everything under control.

Here is my To-Do list:

Mail Rehearsal invites (Monday)
Complete Programs (April 4th)
Ribbon favors (tomorrow night)
Mail final DJ payment (Monday)
Send photographer the checklist (Monday)
Complete grandparent/parent photos for reception-pictures coming soon!
Shop for baskets to put guestbook quilt squares in
Buy fabric pens
Think about Guestbook signage (got any good ideas??)
Seating charts
Day-Of timelines

Am I miss something???

I think everything is going to fall into place without any problems. I am calm. And somewhat organized.

Oh I can't wait!!!

2nd dress fitting

All I have to say is WOW.

I absolutely LOVE my dress.

When I put it on, and looked in the mirror I was even speechless. My seamstress is doing such a great job.

There are just a few minor things that still need to be done.

Taken in 1 more inch around the waist (equaling about 6 inches all together)
Shortened about an inch-since I'm so short...
And the boning under my armpit was poking me-so she has to adjust it.

April 16th is my FINAL fitting. Only 2 weeks away! I can't believe it. I have my pictures uploaded on my work computer so I can randomly stare at it...I just can't help it. I love it SO much. I CANNOT wait to wear it.

I wish I can post pictures...but I can't. Mikey WILL see it. So...if you want me to email you pix comment me with your email address!!

My Shower

****Warning LONG post!****

My shower was fabulous. All of my girls did an amazing job. But I have to especially thank Bella, my Matron of Honor. She planned all of it...and set up all the decorations. It was truly such a special occasion that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I have to admit I was extremely nervous. My stomach was in knots when I arrived. But soon dissipated when I had my first glass of punch. The day also FLEW BY! It started at 1pm and ended at 5:30pm. It did not feel that long at all...it literally flew by! I tried to talk to each and everyone of my (50 or so guests) which I thought was a little intimidating. But it worked-and I heard I did a great job... Thank goodness!

Enough with my rambling...let me show you pictures!!

First here are some detail shots. Didn't Bella do a great job?!?!

The guests..

Bella asked Mike and I questions prior to the shower. We did not know our answers...but all I can say is Mike's answers got a lot of "Awwww's". I really am marrying a sweatheart!

Time for presents!!

My good friend Natalia got this blanket for us...Isn't it adorable?!!

I really love this picture, my aunt Patty (in the blue) has the sweetest look on her face.

This is the FABULOUS gift I got from Bella. She made it. Isn't it just wonderful?!!! I absolutely love it. Thank you Bella! OXOX!

Introductions!

Here is my Mom, my sister/bridesmaid and me.

Here is me and all my girlies! Aren't they lovely?!

Thank you girls!!! I loved EVERY second of my shower!!! OXOX

Pre-Cana with Uncle Fr. Bart

I've been an extremely bad blogger. I apologize to you all. It's been a hectic 2 weeks. I've had Pre-Cana, my shower, mini-bachelorette party, designing/editing my programs, thank you cards, exchanging/returning items...We have been running non-stop.

I am finally sitting and taking a break from all this craziness. (And when I say crazy...I mean it in a good way)

Pre-Cana is way better than I expected. We actually had fun-and gained a lot. Mentally and spiritually. My uncle Fr. Bart is our officiant and he was our teacher for part of the day. I have to admit he is a wonderful teacher. He keeps you wanting more and really sends out a great message.

Here are a few key elements we touched on..

The Goods Of Marriage:

  • Partnership/Union-a mutual understanding of the whole life:spirit, mind, body and affections.
  • Permanence: Marriage lasts for as long as the couple lives. The marriage is indissoluble.
  • Fidelity: Living out life-long promise to give yourself only to your spouse.
  • Procreation: Willingness to cooperate with God in creating new life.
  • Self-donation and Self-sacrifice

10 Dynamics that can threaten a marriage:

  • Clinging to single life patterns
  • Avoiding the serious issues
  • Dropping church attendance
  • Ambiguity about children
  • Coming of the first child
  • Placing your career first
  • Ignoring alcohol and drug abuse
  • Copntrolling influence of parents
  • Negative effects of contraception
  • Ignoring that not-right feeling

We also had a lecture on the Billings Ovulation Method. Which we will definitely be taking a more indepth class on. Birth Control can really be dangerous; causing it extremely hard to conceive and even the possibility of becoming sterile. It also can cause mood swings, anxiety and depression. I highly recommend check this out.

At the end of class we headed into church for a little 'surprise'. We got to attend an engagement blessing. We went up to the altar-read our engagement vows, signed a certificate and had my engagement ring blessed.

It was truly an amazing day.

A sweet present

Here is a sneak preview to one of the gifts I got at my shower this past Saturday.

My friend Natalia made this into a blanket, isn't it so cute?!

I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately. I'm have been overly stressed with the amount of things I have to do. I promise I will give you a recap of events really soon!

1st fitting

This past Wednesday I had my 1st wedding gown fitting. My moh Bella came along for 'support'...she was so wonderful! She helped me with everything, I must say I have the best MOH!!!!

My weight loss paid off! They will be taking about 4-5 inches off the bodice of the dress! And they are adding cups...as I've lost most of my boobs... But I felt like a princess in my dress. I almost forgot how much I loved it! I'm sorry I can't show you pictures since Mikey frequently reads this...but I'm dying to show you!

My next fitting is March 29. They told me I could continue to loose weight and we can have more than 3 fittings...how nice is that!!?? So, I will continue to workout daily and see where it takes me. I'm not really looking to loose too much more, but I want to continue my healthy lifestyle and I'm so glad that it won't interfere with my dress fittings!

Tomorrow we will be in Chicago all day for our Pre-Cana class. I'm looking forward to it but also kinda nervous because I don't know what to expect. I will let you know how it goes!!

They are like little tiny presents

This morning one of my friends from work handed me her RSVP...the very 1st one!! It made me smile for the rest of the day...

I was so antsy today. I could not wait to rush home and look in our mailbox. I was dying to see who else RSVP'ed. The suspense was killing me! When Mike and I got home we raced each other to the mailbox...and pulled out 4 little tiny presents!

Mike opened 2 and I opened 2. I swear it felt like Christmas all over again!! It will be so fun to come home to these tiny lovely things...every day until April 1st.

Then I was off to pick up my dress from my aunt's house. She has been keeping it safe for me. Because tomorrow is my 1st fitting appointment! Everything is moving so fast...I'm so excited yet slightly overwhelmed because I still have a lot to do.

Here is my list:
Ceremony programs
Complete photographer list
Day of Timelines
Ribbon my (250) favors
Ribbon my (250) bubbles
Assemble grandparent/parent wedding photos
Wrap all the presents
Wash all 90 vases for our centerpieces
Shop for baskets/fabric pens for the guestbook quilt squares
Seating chart

I might be missing a few things but to me that is a lot only because we have so many guests. But in the end it will be worth it.

I CANNOT wait for it to be here so we can PARTY our booties off!!

52 more days..

Makeup: Round 2

I went to MAC for my 2nd makeup trial. I've never bought any MAC products but have always wanted to. And I'm SO glad I did!

She did a wonderful job! I loved it soooo much....I bought $243 of makeup! I've never done that in my life. But I think it was well worth it.

Check it out..

I didn't buy the lipstick because I didn't really like it.

This picture was taken about 12 hours later....It stayed on without any touch ups!

She even mapped it out for me (with real makeup) so I know exactly what she did.

I've asked Bella (moh) do it for me the day of. She is sooo sweet!

What do you girlies think?? Do you like it?

Breaking them in..

My aunt Therese got me my bridal shoes...and I've been starting to break them in. And surprisingly they are extremely comfortable!

Here are the beauties..

**excuse the clutter everywhere...I can't seem to find anywhere to put things lately!

I love them...however I think they make my feet look big. I'm only a size 7..but they look much bigger than that. Oh well..they are pretty nonetheless.

Only 54 more days!

Baby G has arrived!

Last night (or should I say early this morning) at exactly 3:31am. My friend Steve called to inform me that his wife, Rachael was in labor and on the way to the hospital. All I heard in the background was "Oh shit, oh shit...I have to push..I HAVE to push!" Then he had to go. I laid in bed worried. How in the hell was I suppose to go back to bed?!!!! So, I decided to text Steve-and let him know I'd be willing to jump in my car and meet them if they needed me to. Not more than 5 minutes later...Steve called to tell me Rachael had the baby in the CAR in front of the hospital!!!!!!! I was like "Say...WHAT?!!" And followed it by asking if mommy and the baby were ok...and YES they were fine. She came out 'squakin'-Steve said! Now I really wasn't able to fall asleep!! My best friend's just had their baby in their car!!!! When has anyone ever heard that?!

I called the hospital...and asked if I could come. They declined my request... So, back to tossing and turning. There was NO way I was going back to sleep. I just laid there until it was time to wake up and get ready for work.

Before I went to work I stopped by to see the new baby and to check on Mommy and Daddy.. but it was too early for visiting hours-but it was really nice to talk to Steve for a while..

After work-I FINALLY got to see the little munchkin!

I present to you..Autumn Rae..Born 3/4/09 at 3:37am. 6lbs 12oz. 20in long.

She is beautiful.

I did not want to put her down!

Daddy and Baby Autumn...aren't they adorable?!

Assembling our invitations

Today was an exciting day! Mike and I assembled our wedding invitations! It was a tedious task that took us 3 hours to do. But I had fun! (However, I can't promise you that Mike had the same amount of fun..)

Here is a sneak peak...

They will be going in the mail tomorrow or Tuesday. It's so exciting!

We officially have 2 months left. And I know these next 2 months are going to fly...(well I hope so!)

The last big project I have is our programs...stay tuned!
